Mercruiser 190 exhaust problem

My 2009 Mercruiser 4.3L i/o 190's exhaust has all the sudden started to sound like it has an above water exhaust like a cigarette boat. Is this because the baffle has worn down? Is the boat still safe to use without overheating or exhaust problems?

I actually think it might be an exhaust leak, if I can find it what can I use for a temporary fix? I heard the napa might make some sort of tape for it?
