Alpha one loose tube on drive

This is looking into the back of the drive. This hose is loose and looks like it should go on the fitting by the bolt. But I think the fitting should have some sort of nipple on it. What is this hose for and where could I find a new fitting?

That's the hose for the speedo pickup. The fitting part number is 22-860382 and will cost you $7.61 from an on-line supplier. But unless you have your speedo hooked up to the fitting on the inside of the transom, don't worry about it.

Thank you!!! I was worried. It is not attached on both drives. If I re-attach it on one drive will it work again?
