Is it possible to install a water press. gauge on a smaller outboard? I have a 2000 25hp, TESSD, and I have been thinking of installing one, but I'm not sure how much trouble it would involve
Mostly just to know that the engine is getting sufficient cooling water. Have read that the tell-tale can have a good stream, and the engine might not have a good flow through the heads etc. Just want to take be best care of the OB I can.
Well, tapping off of the tell-tale woun't work then. You would have to tap into the system just before it dumps into the exhaust. Never seen it done, but there are a lot of things I haven't seen. If you look at a cooling system schematic you might be able to figure it out.
