Just got an 87 mfg'd 110 VRO Johnson running. It sat for for about 4 years according to the information I got.
For whatever reason, the carbs are not getting filled and unless I pump the fuel ball every few minutes, the engine will quit. I am not VRO savy, so I was wondering if anybody had some thoughts on my first steps here.
If its just a matter of cleaning the carbs, I will try that, but wanted to know if there was anything specific to the vro that I should know about. I did comb the previous posts trying to find this information, but nothing matched that I could find.

You performed a valid fuel test by constantly priming the fuel hose bulb. If that is the only way the engine will run, you may have a bad fuel pump. If the fuel hose bulb goes flat while running you have a fuel restriction prior to the pump.

^^^^ what he said, I think the fuel side of the pump can be rebuilt, and disconect the oilside, and permix.

I saw a post on this site, that essentially said block off the oil line at the outside of the cowling and that was that for steps to go to premix with a VRO. I see you list a 90 HP Johnson in your list of engines. Did you perform the VRO disconnect on this motor? If yes, is the procedure that simple? If not, can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks.
