I have a 898 mercruiser going to use volvo penta exhast manifolds

my manifolds are trashed
picked up a pair of volvo penta manifolds that bolted right up
a few mods and ill be on my way
has any one else done this, or any thoghts?

What do you mean by a few mods? Do all the hoses from the thermostat housing fit? If not you may need to replace the thermostat housing. I had a merc 898 on my Checkmate and I switched from log manifolds to center risers and I had to change out the thermostat housing to the newer type with the T valve.

yep hoses are all real close...
just need a diferant alt. bracket goming to check junk yard for a sbc bracket should bolt up then i need a bracket for the starter celunoid
O and probly a dif. fuel filter set up that I wanted to do any way and it should work
