Does anyone have a suggestion on how to remove the poppet valve (#15) on a 1993 40hp tilt?

It looks like it might thread in, but I think it is pressed in lightly. I've spun it with a screwdriver, but it doesn't back out, only spins. The reservoir filter and valve seat were also lightly pressed in, but they pressed out easily.

Is the trick to use a small pin to push out the shuttle spool (#14) and poppet valve through the stern side poppet valve seat's hole?

I've ordered a new o-ring set, so I was thinking I would need to replace the o-rings on the on the valve seats.

Well, I stuck a small allen wrench in the hole and gave a light press and the poppet valve came out, the shuttle too. So I guess that is the way to remove them.
