I have a 1958 Johnson 7.5 hp AD-12. I noticed a very small hole in the underside of the cavitation plate from which lower drive oil seeps if I tilt the motor while carrying it. Is this normal, some kind of overflow?
Thanks for your reply. My second choice was un-spent 2 cycle oil from the exhaust. I'm not sure of the purpose of that hole. It is very small and I've never noticed it before. Could be oil from the exhaust.
