Hey Guys,

I'm a newbie to the boating world and need some help.

First boat I've gotten with an outboard and not to sure how big my gas tank is, so I'm not to sure how much oil I need to mix with it. Didn't even know I needed to mix oil with it. I've looked up online trying to find what the tank size is, but haven't found out anything.

I have a
1992 bayliner Capri 18 ft a 120 force outboard

Question 1

Any idea what size the fuel tank is?

Question 2

What kind of oil do I mix and how much do I need?

Tach and stuff 003.jpgAt the tank.Near the filler or the sending unit is a sticker with the amount and construction info.
Can't read that? Contact Bayliner, they are good about getting back with info.
Or drain it and take it to a gas station and fill.
6 gal of gas add 1 pint of oil.
I buy it by the gallon. Then use smaller containers.
I bought an oil measurement container(wallyworld) and use it.
Get any kind of manual, factory is best.
There is a screw on the side of the lower unit(see pic)DON"T TOUCH.Will cause lots of trouble. It's not a drain it's a shift linkage anchor pin.
Read the post #1 from FrankA about adjusting the carbs and linkage.
And ASK any time before you do something. Were glad to help.

Go to Bayliner.com and download a user manual for this boat. It will answer many questions for you.
