2003 f150 4 stroke running terrible with only 150 hours

I KNOW THIS TOPIC SEEMS LIKE A DEAD HORSE BUT HERE WE GO...:facepalm:

I'M COMPLETING A JOB FOR A WOMAN WHO HAS THIS 2003 SEA PRO SV2100 IN GREAT CONDITION AND GARAGE KEPT WHO WANTS TO SELL IT..

I TOOK IT OUT AND IT WAS SHAKING BUT I CONTINUED OUT HOPING IT WOULD CLEAR UP AND IT DID FOR A SECOND AND REACHED ABOUT 4000 RPM AND DOWN SHE WENT.. TURNED OVER AND RESTARTED QUICKLY BUT NO POWER IDLE SPEED ONLY.. MORE THROTLE AND IT WOULD BOG DOWN BUT IF YOU SLOWLY FEED IT WOULD EASE UP TO ABOUT 3000 AND THE BUST UP AGAIN.

SHE TOOK IT IN FOR THE SAME SYMPTOMS IN OCTOBER 2010 AND THEY CHANGED WATER SEPERATOR AND GAVE IT BACK. SHE NEVER PUT IT IN THE WATER TO TEST UNDER A LOAD AND THE TANK WAS NOT PUMPED OUT SO I HAVE GAS THAT IS OVER A YEAR OLD ALSO.

I WANT THIS BOAT BUT I ALSO THINK THE ENGINE SHOULD HAVE ALL FILTERS REPLACED, THE TANK FLUSHED, FUEL INJECTORS CLEANED, VST CLEANED, AND THE IMPELLER KIT INSTALLED.. ANY OTHER ITEMS?

AM I CRAZY OR OVER THINKING ALL THIS BECAUSE OF ALL THE FOURMS I HAVE READ??

I JUST DONT WANT IT HALF FIXED AND SHE IS WILLING TO ABSORB MOST OF THE COST..

THE MOTOR IS A 2003 F150 XTRC FOUR STROKE MANUFACTURED 7/03 WITH A 04 MEETS THE STANDARDS STICKER ON THE COWL

ANY HELP OUT THERE??? PLEASE SHOULD I RUN???

1st off please turn off the caps lock.
You are correct
Year old fuel is not good
drain and clean tank and all fuel systems
A Yamaha shop with qualified techs is a must to check it out to see what all is wrong after you do what you can.

If it is running lean on one or more cylinders due to blockages in filters or screens in injectors and pumps and you keep running it you may hurt the motor

I plan on taking it to sportsman marine in Fairhope Al. tomorrow because i found them on the yamaha site but I want to feel somewhat educated on whats going to take place..

Ballpark cost for draining and flushing a tank??

filters,vst, injectors, what am I getting my self into money wise again BALLPARK? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I have no idea about the cost.
May need to call a couple of shops that you might take it to and ask what price they think

tank flush, VST cleaning, all new filters, injector cleaning, fuel system flush, computer check, new battery, new water pump impeller, gear case oil change, replace timing belt, leak down test..probably into the $1500 range..if it needs any new parts you could easily double that or more. parts for those motors are stupid high. just a guess.

Thats not terrible to get the motor in top condition I guess.

This motor and boat look new because of it being garaged. it's hard to walk away from..

Possibly not a good deal but $11,000.00 with trolling motor, dual bank charger, 4 new batteries, electronics, and dual axel trailer with spare. along with her willing to tote most of the repair cost.. seems pretty sweet to me but not sure..
