Center cross member cracked right in the middle. I suspended the boat on blocks and a lift beam, and pulled the trailer out from under it. Welded it up. Man, that thing's thin, must be about 12 G steel.

Decided to re-wire it while I was at it. Some of the clearance lights have been blinking lately. Found 3M idc splices inside the frame. (sheesh) Pulled strings in with the old harness, pulled new harness in, along with wires that will go from the tail lights back up the frame to the clearance lamps. That way all the splices will be in the open for service.

BTW, I love my Harbor Freight MIG welder. Got the $299 version for $139 about a year ago.

Re: 88 Tracker Trailer

Have found that out on tracker equipment, called profit margin. Have a welder myself not a harbor fright, but has paid for itself since I have bought it.
