I tune performance engines and build custom stainless steel exhausts for a living but until now I had never considered doing anything regards my boat. I have a brand new engine going in shortly 2009 design 5.7 and I was considering making a jig and building custom manifolds/risers. It looks fairly straight forward to me... Stainless laser cut header plate, upward swept short 4-2-1 an build a water tank around the pipework with the same fittings as my originals. I can have the stainless heat treated and pressure tested to ensure they won't crack.

Does anyone have a design I could work to and if it works out I could sort whoever out with a set at cost. I don't quite have a clear enough understanding of how the water exits at the area were it adjoins to the marine exhaust hose however I do have a very good understanding of what a properly tuned manifold will do for
cylinder fill on cam overlap.

I am confident there has got to be a performance benefit here.

Any thoughts on this little project would be appreciated.
