I recently had a problem with my trailer lights. I had the lights on and when pulling out of my "boat barn" I noticed that the side marker lights dimmed when I applied the brakes.

Yep, the ground wire had come loose. Fixed it all up and I'm good as new.

Thanks to iboats for all the posts I have read and I quickly solved my problem.

Fer a fact and more often than not trailer light problems generally are a result of grounding problems. Long before computers and forums everytime I fiddled around trying to figure out what was wrong with my lights, I'd go through the process of removing, cleaning and with a lot of trial and error it came down to ground. There can be some other odd things go haywire but whenever you have dimming lights, no lights that worked just last week and that sorta thing.....here's your sign.

It would be great if everyone used the search feature before asking a question, sure would cut down on repeats. Although, I must admit I've asked before searching now & then. Anyway, me too, all the problems I've ever encountered with trailer lighting were due to grounding as well.
