I bought an '89 Dyna-Trak 196 SS fish and ski. The floor is rotten on the driver's side. I took part of that floor up and a couple of stringers are rotten also and water in the foam. I notice the wood runs under the fiberglass where the walk-thru is and in the back where the two chairs and cooler is. My question is does the cap have to come off to do the repairs and do you have to use the same thickness for the deck so it would seat back down flush?

Welcome to Iboats Blackcandt .. :)

Yes .. you will remove the cap and looking like a full resto ( Please post pics as much as you can ).

No you dont have to use the same deck thickness because your stringers/minibulks/deck glassing will determing your level. Its kinda a think thickness and hight of everything your doing for the resto.

Ok, thats what I thought. I get some pics up when I get ready to start on it. Is there a certain place or website that everybody gets their materials?
