We removed the outdrive today. Steering fork is broken in a few places and needs replacing. Fork pivots on the cooling water tube in the intermidate case. Manuals call for pressing the tube out using special volvo tool. Has anyone done this ? Is the tube pushed out from the top to bottom? Anybody have any old indian tricks? thanks fred.

Yea, I've done it, do it yearly several times.<br />It pushes out from the top to the bottom. Your tool needs to be smaller than the OD of the tube so you can push it all the way through, but just fit inside the tube so it won't slip off and destroy things. Thus the special tool.

funny, i just got back from fla. probably 15-20 from your old res.spotswood/east brunswick area.

Grew up in spotswood from 49 to 63. Lived across from exxon station, 2 tone blue house with blue fence across from exxon at summerhill and main 90 thru 95. Lived off mundy/devoe as a child. Small world. fred
