I just bought a 1975 Johnson Stinger 2 75 HP motor. The motor has been sitting outdoors for the past 7 years. Externally it appears to be in great condition other than paint and decals are faded. There are no nicks in the propeller or lower gear case. I believe the motor has never been in salt water because there are no signs of corrosion. The crankshaft turns freely by hand with normal resistance. Question: What servicing shoud I do before attempting to start the Engine? When I start the motor I will be cautious and make certain cooling water is flowing. Are there other things to be concerned with initially.
Thanks
David

Re: Johnson Stinger 75

Take a look in the "Top Secret File", there is a section in there about awakening a sleeping engine. It will ansewer a lot of questions.
