We are looking at a 1996 SeaRay 18', 160 H.P., Open bow, inboard motor for $7400.00. Is this a good price? We see that NADA Blue Book shows $5,60 as the average retail price. Thanks so much for your input!

nada is not a good guide to go by....craigs list is.

the price on each boat ids different because of the condition of the boat.

however....boat sales are slow....and its the end of the season.....offer them the 56 and see what there counter is

Re: 1996 SeaRay Price

this spring I bought a '96 Sea Ray 18' for $5800. It runs great, interior decent, but cover needed replacing, no bimini, trailer had some rust, needed new tires and a spare. I wanted it for $5500 considering all that, but then the seller started getting more interest and wouldn't go any lower.

You're sneaking up on the end of the season in many places - now is the time to figure out what you want, know how much you want to spend and WAIT for your pitch. Within the next 90 days, you'll be able to buy quite a bit of boat (and in nice shape) for $5K. Like Oops said, Craigslist is the tone of recreational boat sales in most markets.
