2 years of trouble with 200 EFI XL Mercury not wanting to run more than 3500rpm. Its been in repair shops 3 times each changing parts. The latest was the stator. while testing it on the water i found that the btm 2 cylinders are not functioning. They have good spark and very wet. Found that the choke wire to the key switch was not connected and was woundering can this have some kind of effect on the btm 2 cylinders, like flooding them out?

A EFI does not need a choke.... Sounds like you have either a bad inner switchbox as it triggers ECU #5 &#6 injectors or you have a bad ECU..
