I have been having an issue with my tilt/trim and I finally decided to dig in and see what's up! Every time I fill my reservoir and hit the tilt/trim switch the pump runs but all my fluid goes away. I decided to pull the pump, when I disconnected the hoses I noticed there was pressure on the down (grey) line but none on the up (black). I brought the pump home and tested it and noticed that the fluid was sputtering out of the hose (both) connections. I thought it was going to be a steady stream of oil coming out but it just spit out like my middle school gym teacher was yelling at me. Is this normal? Not the coach yelling of course. the second question. I have a 1998 crownline cr268 with a merc 454 mpi. How hard it is to replace the hydraulic lines, which I am pretty sure I am going to have to since all the trim oil from the reservoir is going into the bilge. Thanks in advance.
