I was at cabellas checking out keel protectors which i would like because i beach my old boat and the keel is in really nice shape. The only problem I have is that my heavy hauler trailer is a roller type which can damage or remove the keel protector. I trailer my boat to the water so it gets loaded alot and sits on the trailer alot. My question is will the roller on the trailer bother my keel protector or will it be alright? Thanks

Re: keel protector

I would think it'll be fine, so long as none of the rollers contact the "end" of the keel protecter. As in the roller pushing against the leading edge of the keel protector. Keep in mind that the leading edge could be the fore or aft end of the keel protector, depending on whether launching or recovering.
