Penta 280 Mechanical Tilt... How to get out small worm screw & bearing.

Hi guys, great forum and very informative. I did a search and can?t seem to find a solution to my problem.

I?m trying to get the worm screw (see pic that I borrowed from another member) out so I can replace the bearing. The manual says to pull the guide sleeve (18) and the worm screw (8) along with the bearing (15). Are there any tricks to getting the thing out? The unit is still in the boat and everything else is apart.

The sleve is real easy, it is in the engaging hole, just pull it out with your fingers. Below the sleeve is a locking snap ring, just pull out the ring and the worm screw and bearing just slide out.
