I just soaked (using Berryman Carb soak) the four carbs off of a 1995 125 Mercury overnight. I removed all of the sensitive soft parts. After removing the carbs from the cleaner I washed them down with water and noticed the brass platting/coating on the fuel line inlets/connectors was rubbing off. The next day the connectors were rusted inside. The real problem is that it appears these parts cannot be removed and replaced from the carbs. Do I have to replace all of the carbs (at a cost of over $300 each) or am I missing something (I hope:) I know the carbs will never run correctly as the rust is already producing small particles. Please help!!!!!!!!

are the parts on the float bowl where the fuel lines go in removable from the carb? This would be where the needle valve seat goes. You may be able to buy these parts separately

Brass-plated fittings? That's a surprise. Post some pics of this corrosion.
