I just soaked (using Berryman Carb soak) the four carbs off of a 1995 125 Mercury overnight. I removed all of the sensitive soft parts. After removing the carbs from the cleaner I washed them down with water and noticed the brass platting/coating on the fuel line inlets/connectors was rubbing off. The next day the connectors were rusted inside. The real problem is that it appears these parts cannot be removed and replaced from the carbs. Do I have to replace all of the carbs (at a cost of over $300 each) or am I missing something (I hope I know the carbs will never run correctly as the rust is already producing small particles. Please help!!!!!!!!
