i recently got a 1979 seahawk with a volva penta 4cyl engine i took it out last week and was great but on the throttle i noticed it didnt kick in gear right off if you throttle up it sounds like your in nuetral position and than if you give a little more it would kick in and jump forward same would happen in reverse and once your going its fine all out to just cruising but starting from stand still does not start slow needs more throttle than normal to start moving what can i do is this serious or can i fix myself what could it be and where do i start thx jr.
