I have a 1992 Johnson 140 which dies when I am bringing the boat back down to idle from cruising. It usually starts up again pretty quickly, but sometimes it may take a pump of the bulb, so must be something related to fuel flow. Besides checking the fuel filter and making sure the lines aren't obstructed, any other ideas? It also doesn't hold its RPMs well at all at 4000+ and I need to tend to the throttle a lot, could this be related? Thanks.
