5.0L EFI Mercruiser. No spark

I have a 2001 5.0L EFI Mercruiser engine in a 2001 21' Regal LSR. It seems to be having trouble firing. Turns over fine and appears to be getting fuel.

It has started a couple of times in the past few days. Once I get it started and run it for a while, it seems to start again fine. I've replaced the spark plugs, cap & rotor and water/fuel separator. I've cleaned the flame arrester. I replaced the magnetic pickup inside the distributor 2 years ago, could it be that again, if so, why am I tearing through these?

What is the Merc serial number on your engine?
If you open the throttle wide open does it start?
When it doesn't start, have you actually checked for spark from the coil?

look at the rotor pick up inside the distributor if fuel is not getting throughthe tbi

Serial # = 0L331650
No it doesn't start every time when throttle wide open. I had some luck pumping the throttle.
My friend has a spark light and I'll check for spark from the coil.

I'm confused. Fuel goes through the rotor pickup? I thought it was all electrical?
