No drain plug?

I have learned a lot from the forum and I do appreciate the knowledge that you all share however I can't find
an answer to a couple of questions that I have.

I have a 69 17' Mark Twain fiberglass boat that I am attempting to restore, along with a 65 17' IMP. Both have 120 Mercruisers.

The IMP has a sealed floor and not any way for water to exit if it were to get under the floor but has a transom drain plug for the bilge. The Mark Twain has a hole that drains water from under the flooring into the bilge area but doesn't have transom drain plug and strictly relies on a bilge pump.

Both boats have solid floors and I don't intend to do anything with the stringers and their individual systems
must work well, but I am wondering if it would be beneficial to drill new drain holes, one for the transom on the Mark Twain and one for the flooring into the bilge on the IMP?
