My mariner 25 hp 2 cylinder engine (model number 0B353143) is only running on one cylinder. I tried to diagnose doing the following:
1) I pulled the plugs and checked for spark. Found only #2 cylinder plug sparking (#1 no spark).
2) Swapped the plugs and still no spark on #1 cylinder.
3) Swapped the wires coming from the coil. Now #1 cylinder sparked but #2 did not.
This leads me to believe the switch box is bad. Is this a safe assumption?
