i have my Jon boat all prepped and it is ready for its first coat of paint. I bought oil based paint and paint thinner and need to know what my ratio should be of the paint thinner to paint for spraying it through a air compressor paint sprayer.

Should show the limits of mixing on the paint label.

I would forget the spraying and go with a high density foam roller and a good quality brush to tip it. Roll and tip produces professional results.

You can check out my "My Flamingo" resto thread listed below. Page#10 has all the details for Spraying or Rolling Oil Based Paint on Aluminum and Fiberglass boats. I would recommend that you add the Acrylic Enamel hardener. It will give you a much more durable finish and speed up the curing process considerably.
