Swapping lower unit on VP DP?

I have a volvo penta DPS-M drive that has a 1.78 gear ratio. I have now purchased a 1.95 gear ratio lower unit and was quoted $200+ to swap it out by the local VP dealer. This on the surface does not seem very difficult. I have changed the manifolds on this unit to the Hi-tek Stainless ones and did that by myself, so I figure that perhaps with a Seloc manual that the swap could be accomplished. What is the process and are there any special tools outside of the basics that I would need?

No special tools needed. Remove the lower unit, install new orings between upper and lower, make sure the grommet for the water pickup tube is in good shape, lube it with some grease (Not a LOT of grease, just a thin coat.) so the water tube doesn't push it out of the way.
Install new lower and fill with gear lube. That is all there is to it.

Here is a link to the OEM manual, that Seloc is garbage.
