1986 Mercury 200 20hp Blueband

Hi
Can anyone tell me were i can purchase a prop shaft cover nut or (retaining nut) for my 1986 mercery 20hp . The nut is threaded on the outside of the ring and is a standard rigth hand thread.

Thanks for coming back so soon. I'm a bit confussed after looking at the area you pointed out, i could only see either Mallary nut or Spanner nut, now they look like what i'm looking for so has there been a name change. If they are the correct nut are they approx 70mm in dia. If so is there a spanner or devise to tighten the nut up.

To remove this nut you need a prop wrench....only about 11 US dollars.

FYI - make sure you're getting the right parts as you have the wrong year... The last year of the Merc 200 model was 1979... Always look up parts with serial number inhand...
