i just purchased the boat yesterday... my two nephews took it out and it ran about 190 on step 3500 rpm ... then when i get in i weigh about 420 lbs and ran it it ran 240 at 3500 rpm its a 1985 bayliner volvo 2.1 liter

i just dont know where to start? the bushing and gasket on the lower unit has just been replaced before i purchased it and it doesnt overheat with anyone else just when i drive it ... it doesnt make sense to me
