Mariner/quicksliver quick disconnect

I have the quick disconnect on the starcraft Im redoing...(father and son project) In pulling apart the quick disconnect the center pin came out. Is it possibe to create my own by cutting the plugs off (matching the wires first) and connecting the wires as a temp fix until we get the money for a new cable ?

You talking about the main wiring harness into the motor? Yes, you can cut out the connectors and directly connect the wires, just be sure you get the proper wiring diagrams first and hook everything up right.

You may be able to repair the plug you have. Since the pin is out, solder it to a length of wire. Now drill through the connector where the pin came from and thread the wire thru the hole. Now cut into the wiring harness before the plug and fing the correct wire and connect it up. The center is usually the white wire. Now seal the hole you drilled with some silicone and tape up the harness.
