My boat currently only has a starting battery. I'm rewiring the boat and adding 2 house batteries for a total of 3 batteries on board.
First question - Currently the starting battery is port side and all the way in the stern. I would like to move that battery and add the 2 news on to midship starboard. A few feet behind the capt chair. Will the added wait affect the boat that much? 24ft walk around. I have trim tabs to level the boat.
2nd question - I want to replace the battery and new electrical items in a already existing cabinet. I would need to build a shelf and mount that to the hull to hold the batteries. Can I just use marine ply and paint it? Then just 5200 it to the hull? Or should I use marine ply and glass it all together and to the hull?
Thanks
