Engine runs great but overheats quickly and dip stick has white milky looking oil.

1976 Grew, 6 cyl 165 hp I/O.
Got shafted buying a bought with a problem.
Can anyone help me understand what is happening here?
I really appreciate it.
The engine starts and the bought drives but overheats fast and dip stick is mikly.

Ayuh,... My guess is, the impeller in the drive is Shot, 'n the motor's got a Cracked block....

Is there water running into the bilge when yer boatin',..??

that or a headgasket. pull the plugs and look for one or two that are spanking clean compared to the rest...means they are burning water in the cylinder.

Not sure. Where would I look for that? If you are correct how much money am I looking at approximately to have it fixed?

I am hoping its a head gasket correct? Less costly than a block?
