Re: When does your boating season end?
It's hard to say since I use different boats for different things, but I said "January" since I don't have any need to be in the boat in February and March, except I like to run it at least every other weekend then for a short run. I'm often using a boat for transportation, not just for a "boat ride."
Summertime obviously is the busiest.
Early fall is great cruising because it's not as hot, plus there's some different types of fishing.
Oct-Dec 31 is striper fishing, which involves a lot of night boating.
Nov-Jan is duck season, so I'm out in smaller boats, both to hunt and to get to our club.
Mid-March is when we reopen the club, so I have to be in the boat then, but generally don't get out much until
April, again for cruising and early season fishing, and ease on into summer.
Around here, for those who don't hunt or fish in the winter, the season is mid-April to mid-October. I love the fact that we have a long season and generally mild weather through out; any bad spells are short-lived and we get lots of "surprise days" in mid winter.
