I have a 86 32' carver mariner and found a deal on a 5k generator in another 32' mariner like mine, I'm pretty mechanically inclined. What should I watch out for while installing a generator
What kind of generator are you installing? If it's in a Carver, I am going to assume it's a Kohler 5KW (or 5e, or 5cfz). Here is the installation manual for all three. Section 6 of the manual details actual installation. READ THE ENTIRE THING FIRST!! Make sure you pay special attention to the fuel delivery/filter section and the siphon break section. Pay extra attention to your thru-hull fittings!
