Greetings,
I am trying to replace the trigger on my Merc 80 horse. I cannot figure out how to remove the round piece of steel the flywheel was bolted to so I can lift the trigger out.
Help Please?

DO NOT DISASEMBLE THE FLYWHEEL!!. Remove flywheel nut, install Mercury flywheel removing tool and remove flywheel. If you have aready diasembled the flywheel you will have very difficult time getting it put back the way it should be.
