My electric tilt has quit working. Neither the switch on the dash nor the one on the motor will change the tilt of the motor. It has always worked fine until we had a strong wind to come up and the boat jumped off the straps that run under the pontoon (too shallow to use a lift) to hold the boat up in the slip. I haven't checked the fluid level nor messed with the manual tilt control. I have a full Mercury manual, but I'm wondering where to start looking. You can hear the electric motor making sounds. Could the storm have jammed the lower unit someway with all the tossing and jumping the boat?
