I have a 1985 125hp Force. Is it normal for water to be inside the mid leg area of my motor just under the exhaust boot? The water isn't coming in from the boot itself. No leaking there. If I fill this area up with a garden hose, it will leak out above the shifter rod (lower front area of the mid leg.) Is this normal? I just never paid attention to it before. If I run the motor in a tub of water with the water level up to the cavitation plate, no water is present, but when the motor is in the lake and the water level is just under the water outlet, the water is present in the mid leg area.
