I just went and traded for a 1976 Starcraft Super Sport. It came with a 1994 Shorelander and a 1970 Johnson 60 horse motor. It has a fitted travel/storage cover. I can't wait to get it wet. I plan on turning it into a fishing and family boat. Here are some photos as she is now.

Very nice and welcome aboard. I also have a 1976. Looks like yours was restored fairly recently. I like the green. I have always like green and blue :D. Have fun with the splash.

Nice looking rig. Welcome. I looked at a similar one before I bought my Jet and the owner had it set up for pleasure and fishing. He built a box that fit in the gap between the seating of the bow with a pedestal fishing seat mounted on it. It came and went as needed and kept the integrity of the boat. Shouldn't be long before it gets wet.

Wow she's a real beaut:)

Looks very much original, I like the grey carpet even though I prefer no carpet personally.

Nice score, what did you trade for her?

Welcome to the madness. Looks like your boat is in excellent shape.
Yea we all convert them to our needs, that's the great thing about these boats.
Around here carpet would be a no-no for fishing.
Something to do with the rain and the blood and the slim.
Good luck on your splash.

I traded an AR-15 for her. I figure I have less than $950 in her.

If you only got $950 in that boat you did very well on the trade. I would not change a thing :)

looks great and enjoy...

Re: I got a Starcraft.

I just want to get a trolling motor mounted up front and build a removable area for a pedestal seat.

Re: I got a Starcraft.

you may have to deal with the bow rail when mounting the trolling motor

Starcraft did it for some us with a later model year, like my 79

Re: I got a Starcraft.

my bow design included a permanent section for casting and still left enough room for passenger entrance figuring most stretch their legs out on the deck versus hangin feet in the well area? Latch and bolt should work.

Very nice...let me know what your top speed turns out to be..and with what prop...I have a 1971 Starcraft with 1971 60hp Johnson...I think I need to clean out the jets on the carbs
...best speed using GPS... 30 MPH
mounted an older style trolling motor and kept most of my bow rail...see pics
You got a deal on that boat....first boat?:D

Re: I got a Starcraft.

It's not my first boat, but it is the biggest boat I have ever had. I need to get the motor sorted out this week and hopefully put her in the water next Saturday.
