I have a 1997 Suntracker Party Barge 21 with a 40HP Mercury Tracker engine (original to boat). I was out on the lake this past week running as normal when the engine just quit...no sputter-just like I had activated the kill switch. Disconnected the kill switch and it fired right up...only to quit again just like before. I replaced the ignition switch, but now it won't fire up at all. Have replaced fuel filter, cleaned plugs..been through the engine manual, but can't figure it out. Can anyone give me another idea to check out? It's gotta be relatively simple for it to just up and quit like that. Many thanks for any help.
