I've seen the Michigan Wheel direct replacement props, and the ones that you have to order a separate hub kit (forget what Michigan Wheel calls it.

The question is, has anyone any experience with the replaceable hub style?

What are the pros and cons?

Any "better" available than MIchigan Wheel?

I am going to stay with the 11 3/4x 17 that is on it now. It runs too good to change anything.

Thanks

To me the hubs are an unecessary complication.Unless your constantly fiddling with your setup
I don't see much advantage.I haven't replaced my prop in 23 years mostly weekend use.
I have had it repairerd a few times.I have seen some reports that some hubs can be difficult to remove.I think Michigan has been around for about 100 years.
The Solas Amita seems to have good predictable results.

Thanks for the reply.

I have ordered the Michigan Wheel direct fit-no separate hub.

I bought one prop with a replaceable hub and I personally don't like them. I think that once you hit something significant the hub is history, and maybe your gear train. Look at the hub and you can see why I feel as I do. I personally prefer the rubber hub that has been around for 40 years.
