I need a cheap flywheel holder the remove and install flywheels, i would need to be able to torque the crankshaft nut to 120 foot pounds. I could make an OMC flywheel holder that is illustrated in the service manual i have, but buying a metal hole cutting bit for $20, to be used only once, beats the purpose. Anyone have any ideas?

This subject has been visited before, maybe search the archives....

My suggestion is a ratchet/tie-down strap. Wrap around the f/w two or three turns, hooked to the engine's lifting ring. Worked like a charm.
