Vent hole question

I have a ss prop on my 1975 85 hp Evinrude on my 1975 Glastron tri-hull. The prop came with plugs for the vent holes, but I've never installed them. The boat seems to run fine, but I'm curious to know if I would notice any improvement with the plugs installed. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Vent hole question

Put the plugs in and see. (I'm not an evinrude guy so make sure they dont have to be out for exhaust or something)

If it is like the merc PVS system, the idea is to let exhaust gasses ventilate the prop a bit at slow speeds allowing your rpm's to build faster during hole shot.

Plugs in may slow down your holeshot a bit, but if you tend to overrev due to prop slippage the plugs may help that problem.
