79 55hp fluhing kit

I thought I heard that my 79 55hp johnson needs a spescial flushing attachment to properly flush my motor. Any thoughts?

You can use a set of muffs that clamp onto the water intakes on the lower unit.

Get a set of muffs that feeds water from both sides. The one sided ones can suck air.
