I have a 350 mercruiser . It keeps going in guardian mode on the gauges . It says that the coolant temp sensor is not working correct. i have changed both sensors and still get the message. My temp readout is only 102-107 and does not get any warmer??

Re: cold temp readout

Time to check your wiring and/or look for corrosion. Does the thermostat housing make good contact with the block? (This is typically done through a rivet in the thermostat gasket). What does the Gage do when you open the connection to the sensor and then also ground the wire to the block?

Thanks i will check that , it is a new Bennington boat and my dealer is 8 hrs away . I did cross out the one with two wires and got a ? on my gauge(digital). The other sensor just has a pushon stud. They are both in the termostat housing.
