1998 Toyota 4 Runner Limited Edition Tow Capacity

Hello Guys!
Im considering to buy 1998 Toyota 4 Runner Limited Edition and would like to know If any of you have any experience towing with this vehicle, its 4x2, I think that my rig thats is a 1993 Glastron with a 115 Outboard 19 footer goes up to 5,000 pounds as much. Actually I tow my boat with 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6 Cil with no problem at all.

Are you saying your current boat is 5000#? That boat isn't anywhere close to 5000#'s...

Just a guess, but I would say if the Jeep can do it, the Toyota should have no problem. Best way to be sure it to consult the owners manual. You can find all sorts of resources online, but the owners manual has your exact tow capacity with your given options. My truck shows only a 6000lb towing capacity according to online resources, but in the owners manual with my rear gear ratio and engine option, I actually have a 7300lb capacity. Also keep in mind your tongue weight.

Like smokingcrater said though, I doubt you are at 5000lbs with that rig. My Monterey 214 FS weighs in at under 4500lbs loaded up, and it is substantially bigger.

Well If you are right then thats is good news, anyway I end buying the 4 Runnner LIMITED but 4X4.
