Picking up my Glasspar on Friday...and want to mount my 1967 35hp Bigtwin on the boat while I get my Johnson 80hp figured out and running.

The 80hp is bolted on the transom and my 35hp just uses a basic clamp transom mount. I can't just clamp on the Evinrude because I figure it's going to crack the fiberglass splashwell.

What do I need to make this work?

Measure how deep your clamps are, and find a piece of wood that will span those two bolt holes for your present motor. Drill holes in the wood and bolt it on. Then clamp on the temp.....

Probably won't be able to use anything more than plywood and still be able to fit clamp over the transom. Plywood enough to protect fiberglass?

I'm probably going to need help on how to connect the Bigtwin wiring also. Currently, it's connected to a Johnson control box that just plugs into my motor.

How much of a pain in the arse is it going to be to connect it to the new boat?
