Well since no one else chimed in.....
I built this setup in the rear of my boat:
There's a 12 gallon "permanent" tank behind the port side jump seat but I plan on putting a 12 gallon portable in the box also:
The box was built strongly to support a fishing seat:
On my last boat, which was a closed bow, I "mounted" a 12 gallon portable up under the bow using cooler mounting brackets that can find at Cabelas/Gander Mtn, etc.
