Just get a clicking noise when I try to start. I will start about every 10 turns. Where is the solenoid?? Sounds like its in the box near the air cleaner with the red reset button on it.

Thanks, Bryan

OK, found the slave solenoid here locally. Was getting it all back together and I let the red/purple wire touch the edge of the metal box. Sparks flew. Now no power at all. Where is the fuse I blew???????????????

Thanks, Bryan

Look around on the engine, there should be a circuit breaker with a red button. It's a push to reset circuit breaker.

In the future, disconnect the battery when working on the electrical.

Ayuh,... Could that have blown the Lawyer fuse at the starter,..??

Ya, ALWAYS disconnect the Batteries...

OK, I took my volt meter and traced it to the 50 amp reset button. BUT cannot push it hard enough to get it to work. I think its fried. I will replace it now.

Thanks, Bryan

There's another solenoid on the starter that is probably where your problem really lies. All the little slave solenoid on top of the engine that you replaced does is energize the starter solenoid that handles the heavy current.

Did you have power TO that circuit breaker? If not try checking what bondo calls the "Lawyer Fuse" designed to protect those that don't read manuals or disconnect battery cables.

There is a square fuse on the starter solenoid that may have blown.
Looks like this.

OK, I bypassed the red 50amp breaker and she fires right up. I fried the 50amp breaker. Dont see alot of info on people doing that, but thats what is wrong with mine. Found one on Ebay, so got it on the way. Thanks for all the help guys.
