Evinrude won't start

Hello.
I have a 1985 25 hp evinrude outboard that will start with the a pull start easily but will not start with the electrical start. It turns over very strong with electrical start up and trys to start and then will start not stay running...Need help

Can we get the model number? Does it stay running with the pull start??

Boy I don't get that at all. The electrical starting system really has nothing to do with the running of the outboard. It just gets it started, from there it's just along for the ride.
It runs strong after pull starting but won't stay running after key starting.......Sombody more knowedgable than I will have to take this one up. Sorry.
The model number will prolly be helpful for troubleshooting.
